With the introduction of EV's new FIR filter based setting update program Benelux EV distributor E-audio benelux started its training program IRIS-Netmax-Fir drive.
Axel Nagtegaal MD of E-audio benelux explains.
IRIS net as a software platform added with hardware such as Netmax and RCM modules are on the market since some years now and are quite popular within the fixed install market but using this technology for our FIR drive update the EV concert sound user group enters a new era of system control. Almost our entire Line Array client group did switched to EV Netmax N8000-1500 FIR drive due to the sonic improvement being achieved additional to the operational flexibility of IRIS/Netmax . Therefore a professional and consistent training program is necessarily in order to get the max out of this incredible powerful control system and prevent mistakes being made. We are rapidly entering an era were software and IT understanding becomes slowly a more critical factor for offering a good sounding system to the engineer then working with product A or B and therefore we are investing in an consistent training program only available for our customers in order to grow with the technology being used.
This specific training program contains a 2 day basis level training creating a understanding of the IRIS/Netmax products as well training operational skills. If the trainee passes a exam then we are intensively guiding these persons into a more detailed usage focused on a in their company training and a personal systech.engineer training program. Our basic program starts at least twice a year and is only accessible for those who are experienced with our concert sound product line at a serious operational level.
By offering this extra service towards our customers we are not only training them to get the max out of our (new) technology but we are also learning from our customers due to their specific usage of the systems and what can be more powerful?
In order to offer a consistent training program we took on board an experienced EV system tech and an audio IT specialist and both are being employed for 40 hrs a week only for guiding and training our concert sound and fixed install client group.
